  There's a kind of time signature that sounds like triplets: the compound time signature. Each beats are subdivided in three 8th notes; the dotted quater note is the new time unit for the measure. In this lesson you read and play the 12/8 compound time signature (4 beats x 3 eighth notes = 12 eighth notes in a whole measure).

  Left hand players do reverse sticking.
